Snowflakes and Sparklies.

I feel like I should post something, but I'm not really in the mood. We went to Brussels today, everything went very smoothly. We froze a lot, it was around 5°C all day. I even saw SNOW out of the train window on the way there. SNOW!!! I was torn between being excited and being worried about turning into an ice statue.

At the end of the day, I guided Reet to the airport train and then went to wait for my own train. I sat by the window until this snotty British guy arrived (reading some financial paper bleh) and told me that it's his seat; so I had to move to my own seat, the one closer to the aisle. I thought it was so pointless.

I sat on the train, listened to music, all tired, but my mind finally felt calm and relaxed. I doodled and wrote silly little poems and thought about sparklies and rainbows. When I got home, I defrosted myself in a very long, very pleasant, very hot shower (literally and figuratively:)), then had some tea. Now I'm about to read fic and maybe watch Heroes, if the episode actually loads.

My internet is still not fixed and it's not getting fixed until next week, because the guy who came on Tuesday didn't manage to resolve the problem and the boys aren't going to be here this weekend, so he won't come back until next week. As of right now, I can only use this silly connection in the kitchen, and Sarah and I can't go online at the same time - there's an IP address conflict (wtf?!). Annoying!

This weekend, I have to do laundry, clean, study for a French test, do some more school work... I probably also will have to book my flight home for Christmas. I hate how inflexible/unhelpful the professors of my school are: I asked if I can at least do the presentation on the last day before Christmas in the morning, so I can leave in the afternoon and still catch the flight; the professor replied that "we're doing presentations for 3 hours in the afternoon, I suggest you leave at lunch time, that way you'll lose some of the points, but at least not all". Why can't I just do the presentation in the morning?! Also, I have not received any response concerning the beginning of classes in January. Officially, it's January 5th, but I want to know if I could maybe miss the first two or three days and come on the 7th, because that's much cheaper.

Anyway.
Silly wannabe-poetry written on the train:
The light spills
Fragmented raibows
shimmer
Your world fills with hope
Oh come, Beautiful One
and make the ashes glimmer
Phoenix flight
Sweep bright across the land
Oh come, Crusader of Light
and bind the darkness growing grimmer
(inspired by xmorghanax's wonderful FS/Digiworld fic)

And another one:
There is sparkle underneath your skin
It shimmers
Glowing from within
A thousand stars spilt in your blood
The day you fall
will come the flood

weather, snow, traveling, college, poetry, internet
