Shopping and sharks.

I took my last exam yesterday and hopefully passed it, so now I’m done and have a few days off, which will, however, be filled with preparations for my departure. I can’t believe that in about 9 days, I will be in Moscow already. The past few weeks have been so busy that I didn’t even have the time to think about it or get nervous about going. Besides, I keep telling myself that it’s just Moscow. Been there, done that, loved it.
Officially, the reason why I’m going to Russia again is to study. Unofficially, I’m going to see Lena, go to theaters, to sightsee, to eat blinis, to watch figure skating shows, to skate and also to run into Johnny Weir in the Red Square, of course. And to improve my Russian, obviously - that’s the part of the studying that I’m actually looking forward to, the Russian.
I had a dream about going to Moscow some time ago: I was on the plane with Ola (for some reason, she was coming with me) and I suddenly realized that I don’t have my plane ticket and that the suitcase I have with me is all empty instead of full of clothes - I thought my mom would pack it, but she didn’t and I didn’t, either, so I was on a plane to Russia without even a change of clothes. It was a little scary.

Talking about suitcases. I went shopping today and they have so many cute shoes! It seems that the shoe producers finally realized that not all people can wear stupid ballerina shoes without slipping out of them, so now there’s a plethora of flats with bands across the foot, as well as some lovely heels of the same type. (There are also those rather ugly patent leader pumps everywhere, but let’s not talk about those.) And it’s so annoying because I can’t really buy three new pairs of shoes, because I won’t be able to take them to Russia, anyway, and it’s kinda pointless to buy shoes that I won’t wear until like half a year later. :(
That’s one of the reasons why I’m looking forward to finally getting my own apartment and settling down somewhere for some longer period of time - so I can finally shop as much as I want without worrying about how I’m gonna get all the new things back home on a plane. It doesn’t only apply to shoes and clothes, but also to other things - like books and art-supplies etc.
I bought this random book with digital art from Karim Rashid today, it only cost 4€ and the pages are filled with funky patterns that will be perfect for collages, letters etc.
There are so many things that I would like to try to do - like hand-made books etc. - but that would require a lot of supplies that I don't have room for and that I can't really drag halfway around the world with me.

I had a dream a few nights ago that I want to write about, just so I don't forget it completely, because it was quite adorable. Remember how surprised I was some time ago when I had that one dream which had Johnny in it and he looked perfectly like himself in it? (Which is usually not the case - usually, people do not look like themselves in my dreams.) Well, this one was another of that kind. I walked into a room in some old house. It was full of people and I realized that there was a press conference going on. So I sat down on the floor (all the chairs were occupied) and listened. Johnny is the only one I can remember; I don't know if anyone else was also being interviewed. I thought he looked really cute and apparently, so did everybody else in the room - there were so many fans and I was all surprised, because I thought that they wouldn't let fans in at all. Anyway, after a moment, I was still sitting on the floor staring off in some other direction. Then suddenly somebody taps me on the shoulder - and I realized that Johnny was sitting in the row of chairs right behind me.
Privet, he says. (Because we were in Russia.) And he smiles at me, all huge manga-boy eyes and silly hair.
Privet, I reply, a little surprised. And also a little melty and dazzled, of course - if you've ever been face to face with that smile, you probably know what I mean.
But you've already been to Russia, haven't you? he asks after giving me a thoughtful look. (It was still in Russian.)
Yes. In 2006. I saw you at Cup of Russia, I said. (Once again - this is so odd, because my dreams usually do not contain this amount of truthful facts!)
He frowned a little bit, thinking and then his face lit up when he remembered me. It was cute.
Then there was a skip in the dream, I was leaving the building, looking for my bike. I really didn't feel like going home by bike, though, because it was pouring. So I decided to wait for the bus/shuttle. I was standing outside and then I noticed Johnny again - he wore a really silly hat, but I don't remember what it looked like. I came up to him and asked him if I could bother him for a picture. He's like: Sorry but... no? I was a little taken aback, but I shrugged it off and offered if he wanted to share my umbrella, so he wouldn't get all soaked and sick. End of dream. :)

Last night, I had a strange dream as well. First there was some revolution going on, I was putting up posters on some marble walls. Then I walked into a beauty parlor that offered exclusive skin treatment. The weird thing was that I had already been in that place before, in another dream quite a while ago. I had even made up an appointment back then, but never showed up for it. The reason why I felt so tempted to enter the place again was the shop assistant/cosmetician. He wasn't even exceptionally attractive, he was even a little old (as it turned out, he already had kids), but he had something about him - I noticed his lips in particular, they were all sparkly and smooth. I asked him what treatment he'd recommend for me and how much it would cost - he said that I'd just need to get 3 injections (and said that some other people get like 10 of those because their skin is so bad) and that it would cost about 200€ in total. I was like uh, okay, I'll think about it. And I left... And then I was suddenly Hiro Nakamura from Heroes, there was some running around with a katana, saving random girls, swimming in the ocean trying to escape some dudes who wanted to murder us, fighting off sharks with bare hands and flying with pink flying cars that had the coolest kind of "steering wheels" - I had never flown one of those before, but I knew immediately and instinctively how to fly it. The dream ended in an old multi-storey building, in which I wanted to hide... but I ended up helping some old lady carry her groceries up to her apartment on the 6th floor because the elevator wasn't working properly.

That's all for now.
