It's astonishing how much more confident wearing heels can make you. I've been wearing my new red mary-janes quite often lately and today I realized just how much presence that clack-clack adds to one's strut. Add jeans that make your ass look fabulous to it (that is what I wore today in the morning) or a short red skirt (that was my outfit in the afternoon), a touch of red lipstick and voila! People look at you. Those A&F jeans I bought in the US are so much love. They look so stylish even with just a plain white shirt.
Yesterday was "Day of Open Memorials", so I used the opportunity to climb onto the tower of the local church. The tower is only open for public once or twice a year.
Here's a video of the view from the balcony:

These are the windows in my brother's room and in our living room. My windows face the other side.

My former classmate and a very good friend Petr came visit for a while last night - he was going back home from a vacation somewhere else in Germany. It was nice to see him again, even if for just a little while. I wanted to get up early (at 8) to meet him at 9 today before he leaves... I set my iPod's alarm on 8:05 last night. Then in the morning my mom came into my room to ask if I shouldn't be getting up. What time is it? I wondered. I set my alarm. 8:30, she informed me. :-o I checked the settings on my iPod and realized that I had set the alarm correctly... only it was 8:05am South Carolina time. *facepalm* Anyway, I made it just fine, so it was no problem.
My morning was further made cuter by
reet's discovery. Watch the K&C after Johnny's performance of The Swan at the Olympics. He talks a little in the K&C, as usual. I never noticed, but right after his technical scores come up, he looks straight into the camera and says: Happy Valentine's Day, baby. I love you. I nearly died of the cuteness. ♥ Awww.
I then spent the rest of the morning revising Russian, talking to myself in Russian (because I have nobody to converse with), listening to Russian music and missing Moscow. Lately, I had these weird moments of oh, I miss this - oh, I miss that; mainly food - I miss Снегурочка ice-cream, I miss the Крошка Картошка giant filled potatoes (must try to make it at home!), I miss the Чудо yogurt drinks... I don't really miss blinis, not quite, because they're very similar to the pancakes we make at home; besides I can have a crêpe whenever I want. We have this yummy sour-cherry home-made marmalade from my aunt - I told my mom several times already that it's just like the Russian варение that they eat with tea. I also crave some cheesecake and would love a Krispy Kreme donut, but that has nothing to do with Russia, heh.
I went to Dresden to do more shopping today - I ended up buying the coat (as planned) and a cute bermudas jacket combo from Esprit, as well as turquoise long-sleeve. The weather was no fun, all rainy.
I'm going skating again on Wednesday. And shopping, yes, more shopping, because now I need turquoise thighs to match my bermudas jacket, maybe some new jewelry and legwarmers and first and foremost I want a new perfume. (I'm thinking something like CK IN2U, Jill Sander Sport or D&G Light Blue. Or maybe I could go back to good old CK Be - I love how it's almost a men's perfume, but not quite.) Any interesting perfume/eau de toilette ideas? Petr complimented on my fragrance today. Always count on the gay boy to notice things like this.
Oh and - two people have told me that I lost weight, one added that I look great. I have not lost any weight. (Well, I did during that week that I was not eating much, but it's back on by now.) I'm planning to look greater in the future - going skating for two hours at least once or twice a week should do the trick. :)
