I'm HEREEEE!!!

Well... I've sort of got internet here. The guesthouse that we're staying in is nice... and by that I mean the water runs and there's sheets on the bed, and no creepy crawlies!! When there's electricity I have something of a weak internet connection so I'm able to feed my horrible internet disease!!

Um... where to start??? Gabidson met me at the airport with his brother, sister, cousin and her husband. It was weird. Let me rephrase.... I was running on no sleep and 13 hours of travel... it was akward, I was anti social and sweaty and blah!!! Some first impression right?? Anywho... Sunday and Monday he had to come to the guesthouse to see me. Akward because he's not allowed in (no guests... you have to sit outside) and also because there's always about 237497598324759324797 23459723908489375982347589 people just staring at you. So that's what I've been dealing with as far as he's concerned. I also met his family today and saw his house (yes this didn't happen the last time I was here). I'm in utter love with his mother. She's this itty bitty little old Haitian woman; and she cooked this huge meal for me and just made me feel like I lived there. SOOOO freaking cute! His older brother Jon is my new best friend. I think I might bring him home with me too!!! He's funny as hell and something of a really big ladies man. His sisters are adorable. The younger of the two, Gitchen is a doll. The older one is more shy, but seems awful sweet.

I'm in love with the smells here. It's polution through and through... and urine and other yuckies... buut I love it!!! Don't ask... I don't know. I just feel home here. I'm so glad that I still feel this way. I think I now know...more than ever that this place is where I belong.

We ran a medical clinic today. The two Haitian nurses that work for PID saw over 80 families. That's pretty incredible!!! I was at the Boisrond's for most of the day... but I helped in the morning. I also brought some treats for the kiddos. Today I handed out a soccer ball... and I couldn't have picked a better day because there was this huge game at the world cup between Brazil and some other country. To say that Haitians are soccer fanatics doesn't really cover it. There's obsessed. Everyone had their Brazil shirts on, and my new other best friend Otsen was cheering so loud that I thought he would burst a blood vessel. Seriously... I was concerned! :)

Um... a thousand a twelve stories to tell!!! I keep running into all my kiddos from last year. There was this adorable girl that I played with last time who is a little LD (at least). I had this cute picture of the two of us and when I saw her today I gave it to her. She was overjoyed. I swear that picture got passed around the entire town, and she held my hand for the rest of the day. Another one of my favorites... Woodmarc saw me today for the first time. He starts yelling and ran over to me; hugging me like he was never going to let go.

I think I might just move into Blanchard.I could live in a cement block house. I don't need running water or electricity. Seriously. When I don't come back on Friday... don't be surprised!!!!
