Ok, so I was just reviewing the requirements for graduation in the student handbook thing. You need 22 credits to graduate- which I will have by the end of this year. The mandatory classes for senior year are English, economics, government, and gym. I'm planning on taking AP Enlgish, AP government, AP French, economics, photo, health, orchestra, string ensemble, concert choir, and gym. Theoretically, it will all fit, though given the competence level of our guidance counselors, it probably won't be worked out until someone smarter looks at the master schedule. So, I'm taking AP bio this year, and hopefully the AP American history test. So hopefully I'll have 5 AP credits by the time I graduate. So hopefully that will take a nice chunk out of my first year of college. Though if I go to a conservatory, the requirements are a lot different than other schools. Being a vocal major, I would NEED four years of a language, which I plan on doing. Probably English and social as well...? I have to go more in depth with the admissions pages on the sites.
Oooookay. So I think I've passed on the graduate early idea. It won't work because of STUPID health and economics. But it does give me another year for vocal maturation. If I auditioned now to colleges, it wouldn't be nearly as acceptable as when I'll audition next winter and spring. Besides, I want this summer to work more extensively than even NYSSSA. I want a more "operatic" setting. Heh, ie, non-musical/Broadway stuff. ;)
Riiiiighty then, I am VERY happy about a certain article right now. I was reading the Sunday portion of the newspapers, and I came across an article about atheists! I have never seen one in any magazine or paper, nor have I heard any stories on the radio. We're like the forgotten minority. No one really cares to fight for our rights because it's assumed that we're either a. Satan worshippers, or b. we don't matter. I mean, duh, that's not the set-in-stone opinion, but you don't see Atheists Rights Advocates marching down the street. But anyway, this article gave a very fair and accurate representation of the atheist philosophy (live by human moral/ethical standards created by subjectivity of situation and time), and it didn't make us out to be bad-asses pursuing the masses with flaming pitchforks. Ok, so I don't really hear that anyway, but a lot of the older generations frown upon atheists because they think we're immoral. We're actually "ammoral"- usually defined as having morals from a different standard, ie, not the Bible or other religious texts. I mean, I look to philosophers and my own thought for many of my standards, but I also look to people like Jesus who had a great message. I suppose you could say I follow the secularism in his teachings. That may not quite be what he really wanted in the modern day, but at least I'm not completely ignoring something that is good in that sense.
So anyway, I am very happy about that.
Um, ok, I'm trying not to cry right now... feeling rather numb. I really don't want to have to call him a lying bastard, but damnit, if he dates someone, I may have to go down there and kill him. *momentarily gave up pacifism* He said he wasn't going to be dating anyone after me. I swear I will ring his neck if he was lying to me. I knew he liked whoever that bitch was when he met her. Fucking bitch! Fucking stupid shit whatever he did. Well he can kiss my ass for all I give a damn.
Argh! Why can I not just FORGET?? Would it be better if I just blocked his sn? If I threw away everything pertaining to him? This sucks. Not feeling great now... ciao kids.
