I absolutely adore your cropping! The bottom left icon probably has the best example of negative space used well; I could stare at it forever.

your icons are really pleasant to look at, always interesting without being overbearing. i also agree that cropping is your strong point! for example, when i see crops like the icon at the top-right, they usually look awkward and unbalanced to me -- but yours looks so good. i love your icons ;w;

+ I enjoy the wide range of subjects you use. You are more brave than I am when using other techniques, instead of a few particular styles. Bright, bright colors, almost always. Sometimes, the part of the image you use is very good, rather than re-sizing. :d

- Although I think it's more of a personal preference, I don't always like the colored ball textures/layers. On some of your B&W icons... the way you make the color image B&W... they look too flat. Maybe it's a hue/contrast result. :|

i can definitely see the improvement you're talking about, since i've been following for a while! your recent icons seem more adventurous, sometimes bright and sometimes more subdued. plus your posts are always super colourful and nice to look at, even though i don't share most of your fandoms!

+ I like your subject matter and that you sometimes use the same image, just different parts. Your stuff is bright and shiny. :)

- Sometimes you might want to go in and do a little image correction so you don't have half bits of words left around. (bottom left icon) Unless those are artistic deliberates, then never mind. :o

Your cropping and cropping are good already, although I think some of the icons are a bit too saturated. For example, the green on your 4th icon stands out too much and the yellow on the 5th icon is brighter than other colors. On the whole, they're nice though!

you don't need to get all artsy and shit with textures and text and such for an icon to look good; i like your overall aesthetic and coloring concept. not many umineko screencap icons look good, but rosa looks gorgeous in #8. the gentle pink tone in other icons, like in #6, are also really cute and distinctly ~*you*~; your icons just have this really ~*sammi*~ feel to them

i like making the reds pop out a little too much. i'll try to tone them down a bit next time. i'll also try to play around more with color balance. THANK YOU LULU. ♥

i wasn't following your icon comm before, but i am now! i like your style: colourful and sharp, with lots of visual interest. your texture-confidence shows! i would probably enjoy seeing you experiment with typography -- from what i can see, you already do such a good job arranging patterns, etc.

Ah, thank you! I'm happy that you like the style (: well, that's because I really like colorful (maybe they're a bit too colorful) and sharpened icons, and I've always adored texture usage on someone's (whom I look up to in terms of iconing) icons, so I tried it and thankfully I'm quite satisfied with the outcome. :D I'll try using text but frankly I also don't know what words to put on the icons and where to put it. But yeah, definitely will give it a shot... someday. :) Thank you for commenting and watching too! ♥
