(no subject)
Yeah, Yeah...it's been a while. I know. I've been busy.
Got my new apartment. Javon and I moved in Labor Day weekend. It's a really cute apartment, but I keep finding little quirks that I didn't notice the couple times I looked at it in the daytime with the manager lady. Like for instance there are no lights in the living room or the bedroom. Please tell me why I didn't notice the lack of lighting fixtures.... go figure. Needless to say I had to buy some new lamps or else I'd be living in the dark.... But overall I really like it so far. This really nice Mexican guy who lives next door helped us carry up the dryer and the couch. Yeah, don't know what I would have done without him. I haven't really met any people here yet except the people below us and the Mexican guy beside us. I briefly talked to the girl who lives next door while we were both on our balconies, but she acted really snotty like she didn't want to talk to me so whatever.
Still living it up in the toddler world. However, I am breaking into the babysitting business for families at school. I'm getting paid like $10/hr to watch one kid in the evening. It works out to be like $50 for a Friday night when I would just be sitting at home otherwise. Yeah, extra cash is always a good thing.
Javon is STILL waiting to hear from the million jobs he has applied for/interviewed for. He had an interview last week that he thinks went well so maybe... I know he's getting frustrated and everything. In the meantime he's been working 2 jobs and staying super busy. Me thinks he may be saving up for something... (YAY!)
Hmm....what else....
Dad and Robin are coming up next weekend to visit. Yay. (not really). I wish dad would just leave the gold-digging homewrecker at home and come up by himself. She's going to ruin the whole weekend. She knows I don't like her - why does she insist on inviting herself everywhere. Thank the Lord she's not staying here with me though. She should just stay in NC to recupperate from her broken thumb surgery that has kept her out of work all summer long. **cough cough golddigger cough cough**
OH...I almost forgot. I met mom's other family. Her new boyfriend who she acts is like the Roman God of happiness. He was nice enough. A little too sarcastic and over-the-top. She sent me an email he sent her and it was GAG YOU corny. Why do I feel like I'm the only one in my family with a normal relationship. Javon and I are coming up on the 3 year mark and I think we are being totally levelheaded about our relationship and the limitations and benefits of getting married. My parents were together for like 30 years and since I started dating Javon they have gotten seperated, divorced, dad got remarried, and mom is on her way. Go figure. Thank the Lord i'm 10 hours away!!
Well, gotta go finish up laundry and all that jazz. I'll try to do better about posting! No promises though.
