Today i got to welcome my nephew, Gabriel Luke Ellis, into the world.....litterally!
By chance, and impecable timing (my sister-in-law was in the hospital about to deliver the baby) i got there just in time. My mother was not yet there and would not be there in time. So, i was one of the four who was able to stay in the delivery room and watch her have the baby. WOW. It was amazing. I know...y'all think i'm a freak. But there's just something about it that is so amazing, it's indescribable. I got to see the baby come out and everything. Ok. Ok. I know y'all are thinking.....GROSS! Well, no, it wasn't. I mean...sure, it was a little gross at first, but, it was so awesome just to see a little baby, and to see it come into the world. Now, for the rest of that beautiful boy's life i can be one of the very few to say...."I was there when you were born. I saw you come into this world." That's so awesome to me. Almost as if a special bond has already begun to form. Also, it helped settle alot of fears i've had about having babies in the first place. It wasn't as bad as the make it on tv or movies. It was just, beautiful. Ya know...unless you're having the baby, i'm sure it is painful!!! Omg, i'm babysitting for him SO much. I mean, i'm already an aunt, but, she's all the way in North Carolina. I'm really excited.
Today was a great day!
Oh, and before the hospital, i went to orientation. I have an awesome schedule. I'm afraid to risk getting it changed because of choir. The only bad thing in my schedule???ANTOINE!! Ah!!! But, it's ok. Everything else is GREAT!
Wow, today was great. I still can't get over the fact that Micah and Vicki have a baby. It's so amazing.
Today was such a blessed day. I don't want it to end.
