i made these today. well, i started last night, but those were a failure. why? because of step one. instead of painting the watered-down glue onto the string, i suggest making the water/glue mixture in a ziplock bag, and submerging the string into that mixture. this way, all of the string is completely coated in glue, thereby producing an actual spherical ornament when the balloon is popped, instead of a measly ball of string that took you 4 hours to make.
