So, it's about time I did this live report. (Forgive me for procrastinating, we've just been too caught up in things here.) First off, I want to give a warning that everything that I comment about the bands are strictly in my own opinion. I don't want any flamers or people coming up to me and saying that what I said is wrong. This is in MY opinion, and whatever you say can't change that.
Best Band Performance= 12012
Most Fun Band = Himitsu Kessha Kodomo A
Just had to get those two highlighted. :D And now, live report!
Erin and I got to Nanba Hatch which is just 3 minutes away from Hiroshi's house and mine at like, 3.30PM. We guessed we were pretty early, but then, it doesn't make a darned difference because there were like 800 or more people in front of us, and our ticket number was 491 and 492, B Class. Well, that's what you get for buying tickets a day before the live. ^_^
We finally got into the hall and squeezed our way through everyone to get the best places we can, and in the end, we were like maybe 10 rows away from the stage, and were able to see the stage clearly. There were so many types of people in there! Normal japanese girls, people who went ALL OUT to dress up and even middle age women who don't seem to have a life.
And finally, after much waiting, the opening band came...
Daiji (drummer) came out first, and he was on fire!!! He was just getting the crowd going and being the most energetic he can. Next was Nii (Guitarist, and Watan's University friend :3 ), next was Takken (Guitarist) and the next was Kouta, and FINALLY WTF EIJI CAME OUT!!!!
Eiji is soooooooo funny!! Like so so so soooo funny kind of thing. I simply love Eiji. To be honest, he's not a fantastic vocalist (especially live), but Himitsu Kessha Kodomo A's unique and funky music just makes up for everything. Oh, and of course, not forgetting Eiji's crazy lyrics!!!
Jinsei Game was the opening song. No setlist because I can't remember everything they've played, and well, I'm a new HKKA fan. ^_^ Also, it was Takken's birthday!!! Eiji made the crowd sing happy birthday to him. :D:D
Doremidan were next. Let's just say my impression of Makoto is completely warped due to RP. Doremidan are really, really a good band. In most honest words, they are. But they had a hard time getting the crowd going and they were really boring. I was standing there half the time with my arms crossed and just listening to their music, which was good. But they had no... stage presence. ANYWAY, at the end of everything, Makoto did an MC, and really, I thought he was too polite. But wait till you see Jinkaku Radio...
...Who were next. Jinkaku Radio is one of the most respectable bands in the Visual music society in Japan. When they came out, the crowd were simply silent, and they started playing. No furi, no screaming, no shouting, no nothing. It was only after the first two songs, when the fun songs came on did Yuki suddenly take a doll out from nowhere and was hitting one of the session members so hard with it until he couldn't play anymore. That was when the crowd went WILD.
Yuki was kinda having a cough that day, so he took a small little break from singing and of course, continued later on. They were really awesome. Their music is so pretty, but they didn't have much fans because they were just a guest band, and most fans came to see Undercode. However, Jinkaku Radio are really great. At the end, they bowed for like.. 2 minutes before they left. They are so polite, and I bet everyone loved them. ^_^
Next were Vidoll... Rame came out throwing candies from his basket. I dub Jui the sexiest legs alive (after Uruha from Gazette, of course). They were so much love. Vidoll was awesome. They had (according to Erin) the most stage presence. Jui's voice is amazing live.!! I loved it when they performed "Nectar"!!!
The crowd was just mainly headbanging to my surprise, they weren't violent at all. And then I looked over to the front row, and I saw them getting squashed :D So being a little back sometimes, works. Tero was WILD. Like.. seriously. And everyone else was just fun. :D:D But their stage time was so short, so.. There's not really much to write about. :3
I've been waiting for them. The only reason why I even went to this concert, was because of them. Ever since three months ago when I saw them, I couldn't stop thinking about them. They are seriously one of the bands that hit me the hardest. After waiting and anticipating for so long, 12012 finally came out. They were obviously one of the more popular bands when you when you can see the crowd cheering for them the most. I felt like my voice was lost among hundreds of people.
When all the band members finally emerged, they started with Venom. I headbanged immediately. I love all their songs so much!!! And finally, the second song was Heart and I almost died. It's one of my favorite songs from them!!! :3 12012 are wonderful. And it was during Heart that Wataru walked up to the side where Erin and I were standing, and by that time, I was jumping like a mad woman and waving like crazy to Wataru. And then... the moment came... he proposed to me... Nah, he just pointed at me, and I almost fainted.
My room agony followed, and the last was Sheeps. I was so surprised that they had such a short stage time. I mean, seriously!!!!! I was sad, but well, I know I'll see them again next year.
After a long MC where I went out to buy water, Phantasmagoria came out. Of course, being Kisaki's band, they were the most popular. Girls behind Erin and I were already practicing the furi to "Kami Uta" before the band even came out. Everyone was gorgeous. They all had new looks.!!
Jun was standing at our side. And he kept licking his guitar, smiling, jumping around. I loved their performance. They first played 2 of their new songs, and then came Fairy Times Memory, Pixy False, Camouflage and then.. Kami Uta!!!! I love that song so much. Kami Uta was the longest, and they even had an encore for it.! Phantasmagoria are a great band, and I'd definately see them again.
We simply had to yell out Encore for like, maybe, 3 minutes, and Phantasmagoria came out again. After that, they called out the bands one by one and all the bands were on stage (excluding Jinkaku Radio and Doremidan [Makoto was out, though]).. They were just talking and talking.. Dali also came out to explain why they weren't the opening act. Apparently they were caught coming back from Wakayama and was delayed. So yeah. XD And suddenly, they started to play again. It was just a completely random song with lots of screaming. And EVERYONE was singing. When I mean everyone, I mean.. Drummers were screaming, vocalists were running around, random members would get on the drum set and play.. Kind of thing. However, it was all very fun. And we had a wonderful, wonderful time.
You cannot imagine how tired we were. My neck was so sore I could have felt it rip off. Poor Erin's legs were so tired. After that, we immediately went to the convenience store to get bottles of Pocari Sweat. >.> Didn't bother waiting in line for goods, but I managed to grab one of those signed photographs.. Which turned out to be Tero (Vidoll). It's a polaroid. And I don't want it, so if any of you wanna buy it, give me a price.
So that's it. The end of the live report. We have a D'espairs Ray live coming up soon, so yeah wait for the live report!. ^_^
