you all have lj's? that is so impressive! where do you all live? i know this is going to sound stupid, but i didnt imagine there'd be that many triplet mothers in the drivable area!
my friend's daughter had quintuplets a few years ago.
no, we all have blogs. I have a blog outside of LJ.
There are more of us triplet mothers within a drivable area than just those pictured there. A lot, actually. There were at least four more in our group that have blogs that weren't able to make it. There are 24 triplet families in Montgomery County (only 2 of which have blogs, and were represented at yesterday's picnic, that I know of). There are bunches more in Northern VA.
The one on the right is an Urban Mountain Buggy Jogging Stroller. It's monstrously huge and heavy. The one on the left is a british stroller; the only triplet umbrella stroller that's made, very lightweight. Neither fits through a standard doorway.
they're still neat strollers though! i almost bought a mountain buggy but i got a valco instead.
i guess it doesn't occur to us singleton moms taht there are that many multiples out there. you know? when they say it's rare, i think RARE, not 24 families in monkey county rare, but rare like "oh, karen has triplets! the first in monkey county!"
Considering that there are 500 member families of the Montgomery County Parents of Multiples Club and only 24 of them are triplets? That's pretty small. 1 in 800ish births are triplets, so that's rare, but when you consider the large population in Montgomery County, it's not THAT rare. There aren't a LOT of us, but we ARE around.
1 in 800 is triplets specifically. The reason it is on the rise is because of fertility treatment. The odds of having spontaneous triplets is 1 in 8100.
and because i have a sick addiction to strollers, that triplet stroller is one of the coolest things i've ever seen. what brand is it?
and where did you meet all these mommas?

Seth was yelling at the top of his lungs, which got Ellie's attention.
We all have blogs, so we all created a network of triplet mammas and we have a google group to keep in touch with one another.
