Finished for Christmas plus build update
Well work is finished for Christams and I think we caught up with everything important.. thought I did leave some client details on someone else's desk for them to make appointments after the new year but they had only just come in.
For those that don't know I work for a fuel Poverty charity, which means we are very busy this time of year as people realise they are cold and can't afford not to be!
I am off for two weeks having booked the week after new year off, as has Tom, so we can move things around for the next stage of the build.. talking of which the builders finish at 12 tomorrow so I will take pictures of where it is at. George (boss man) claims they will be finished with the loft the first week in Jan and then will move downstairs.. the first floor bathroom is on hold till we replace the water cylinder with the one we will have for the underfloor heating and that is too big to go upstairs so will need to go in the utility room downstairs.. Are you lost yet?
I need to sit down over the first part of the holiday and make sure we have a full set of plans done with all the joists marked on so the under floor heating people can do the final design and work out what bits we need, which I wanted to have done by now but couldn't till we had the walls upstairs finalised and as we ended up changing where the stairs run it is lucky I didn't do it. Still need to do it so that when we get to doing the floor in the kitchen we are ready to put pipes in becouse they need screeing into the floor. I am hoping that we can get them to dig the floor out far enough that we can lay it flat (kitchen is the only concrete floor in the house) with the rest of the house rather than having a step.
