Hormones seem to have settled down enough so everything isn't smelling aggresisve now which is good. So a bunch of reviews for those who care.

Lighting  - very powerful. Ozone and something citrus but a green smell.. lime or possubly lemongrass. I like it a lot but would have to be in the right mood to wear it. 7/10

They are in the states and have a sort of cult following. Several people on Tom's friends list are into them and I seem to have aquired a collection by accident. Someone called them a collectable card game for girls. People tend to trade, swap and give away the imps (sample vials) which go quite a way on their own and then buy the 5ml bottles if they really like something.

There is a forum here that has loads of reviews etc on it

If you do start making perfume I'd love to try some. I like the bpal stuff cos it's pretty pure and not loaded with chemicals or even achol so can use it as perfume or in a room burner or whatever. Plus they do some really imagintive stuff.

I love how they smell different on different people. Embalming Fluid smells wonderful on me, but Dorian goes completely icky. :-) I love Dorian in the bottle, though, so I was quite disappointed with how it smelled on me.

I know it's so strange. Between Tom, Sarah and I, we have quite a range of how things smell. The most obvious so far is Sleepy moon which smells completely different on all three of us.

Must try embarming fluid on one of them as it may well work for them. I'm glad Dorian works on Tom as it was my choice for The Compt origianlly.

The Compt is a live roleplay character.. 18th century fop type.. think Lord Rotchester from Plunket and Maclane but who has to spend time actually working and keeping a nation afloat.. If you haven't seen that film you must. I know you do costumed events but i don't know if you have ever done live roleplay.

Vanilla scents usually works very well on me- O smells gorgeous and is my current favourite, but Dorian just got sickly sweet.

No, I haven't, though it is on my list. :-) No, I haven't done any role play, not in the sense that you evolve a character and dress and act accordingly. However, I do try to act in the correct way when I'm dresed. :-)

There is a LRP costuming community that just started up and we have been discussing how important the costume is for people to be in character. Unsuprisingly on a costume group most people find it quite important.

Ooh - Jersey Devil sounds very interesting - may try to pick up an imp of that some time.

Interesting to get Tom's perspective on it all, as crocodilewings is interested in trying some.

I'm happy to pimp swaps to my BPAL ladies if you have any you want to trade! :D

A bunch of the ones I have are going to a friend who did the order with me but once I know what we want to swap I will post up here and feel free to pass it on to the wide circle of addicts :)

I have no sense of smell :) though I like some and not others I need to work my way through them properly and make notes.

You have a better sense of smell than most guys and are willing to train it which is a lot of it. I don't know as much as many people either but even with the few we have I've started to be able to pick out a few of the more obvious culprits. Of course the exception to the rule would problabley be my bro who I would expect to be sickenly good at it as he can always pin point smells accuratly.
