A Paris update...

So far the trip to Paris has been interesting. A little more of a hassle than my other trips. I was hooked up with a bass player to get up an upright to play while here. He lives way up in North Paris, above Sacre le Ceur, and to make it worse he's on the 5th floor in a walkup, which is actually a story higher up than in America (ground floor is 0, 1 flight up is 1st floor, etc). But I made it up the stairs and down with the bass then rolled it all the way back to the train station and back the hotel in L'Opera.

Also, made a stop at Francois Rabbath's apartment yesterday, in Montemarte. It was amazing, after being buzzed in, while in the elevator, Francois opened his door and started to play. After entering in very quietly he put on a little concert. Wow. Totally reaffirmed all my beliefs, from the wonderful power of music to that of my own personal journey.

Later today we begin our work together. So, I should get back to practicing!
