This and that and a question regarding the Half-Blood Prince
I just watched the latest season of House. Unbelievable. This season is just awesome. I love the show more than ever, even though the ending of 4x04 made me sad because
House fires the candidate I liked best. Oh well, I understand his reasons... I hope we'll see the character again, anyway.
I haven't been around LJ much these past few days, so here's a quick update:
I've been taking thyroid meds for a week now, low dosage, from tomorrow onwards it's double the dosage. I haven't really noticed an improvement, but from what I've heard it takes a while for the effect to kick in, anyway. Mind you, I didn't have depressive phases either - except for the overall feeling of stupidity that comes from wasting too much time on computer games. I've played my new game Civilization 4 for a few days... (It's my week off and I decided that I'd dawdle away my time with good conscience)
Tomorrow Mr. E and the kids leave for Holland to dance in a competition. Thanks to the Harry Potter night tomorrow I won't be going with them. I will be reading from the HBP for about half an hour and walk away with a stackful of new books. Plus I'll have a weekend all by myself. Whoohoo.
Which brings me to a question that I've been pondering. If you were asked to read from the HBP, which parts would you read? Which are your favourite HBP sections? I love Snape's flight from Hogwarts, I thought that was truly dramatic. Since I'm reading at the launch party for the 7th book, it probably makes sense reading the last few chapters of the HBP, so that people can dive into the 7th book as soon as they can lay their hands on a copy. What do you think? Last four chapters? Or maybe several highlight from throughout the book? Come on, what's your favourite scene?
