It's bizarre to think of how quickly some feelings can fade, while others grow rapidly and exponentially. You could say most of them were predictable, but some are a pleasant change that I welcome with open arms. I've found the meaning of thoughtful, true and loyal and I feel foolish that I never really had to look that far. One of those "If it was any closer, it would have bit you," (as my gramma would say) sort of situations.

These past couple of days have been ridiculous. Yesterday may have been the height of my good luck. A patron coming through the Thruway gave me a $1 gift certificate to Tim Horton's.. a very nice gesture, considering I am used to getting sticky change and awkward cat calls.

So after the Tim Horton's present.. this young girl comes through my lane and looks unusually somber. As I handed her the change she was owed, she stopped her car and said "Merry Christmas" while simultaneously holding out a red box for me to take. Thinking it was merely Christmas chocolates and nothing more, I graciously accepted the box and tossed it along side my machine. When I finally remembered to take a gander into the box, I realized it was not chocolates.. instead there were TWO diamond rings inside! And a decorative gold chain! Wtf. Really, wtf.

.. Moments later, and when I thought my good luck was off the charts and couldn't possibly get any better, a fucking pigeon shit all over my arm. Yeah yeah yeah that doesn't sound like good luck, buttttt apparently bird shit is really lucky!

Blah I am kind of over Buffalo, not the actual city with great architecture and food.. but just, ya know, Buffalo. I wonder why I didn't move to Ohio when my parents did. The offer is still there, but I am sort of scared even though I met really great people my own age while I visited. Butttt apparently my dad's job is looking shady once again and they are hiring for more money in Chicago.. so the past two weeks have been me saying how I would pack up in an instant if my skyline were that incredible. Don't get me wrong, I love the Buffalo skyline.. but having to use a wrench and risk breaking fingernails to view it, has become less appealing.
