Yeah, I wonder whether they thought: "Hmm, we know the zipper is crap let's at least make provisions for when it bites the dust."

Didn't even have to use a safety pin. What was your most outrageous stopgap repair?

Oh, I've had to tape up various wheelchairs of mine several times - often using literal sellotape - to hold them together, after accidentally crashing in to stuff in such a way that makes screws fall out! :P

Yeah, sometimes it's make do and mend in an emergency to get me where I want to be... but it can be nerve-wracking! :-)
