And speaking of some of their academics in Angle-land, AAAAAAAAAAAGH. And that man is a professor at Cambridge. ;_; Based on those excerpts, I would definitely have some words with that fellow if I went there. -______- To say the least.
That last book you talked about...uh. Just. Uh. O_O Maybe it's one of those things that seemed like a great idea at the time, when the author was heavily into crack cocaine and hard liquor, but which he now regrets immensely...?

Believe it or not, this guy wins literary prizes. Apparently that's the appropriate recompense for writing about a dog's take on Bonaparte's sex life. >.>;
