I despair, I really do....

This was my house on Sunday. It's currently a frosty 33 degrees. My tomato plant died. :(

A family member of mine has had an abandoned cat living in her carport for the past year. It broke my heart because the cat was declawed by its previous owners, so it was hard for her to catch mice and defend herself. Also, our winters are frigid--last winter was one of the worst. I don't know how she made it. Well, the little cat has been on my mind off and on and when I saw weather reports about how cold it was going to get, I made the decision to adopt her. I've been pet-free for 9 years and as much as I loved my last cat, Cecil, it was nice not worrying about a pet. It's been an adjustment. I'm kind of a neat-freak and have a mild form of OCD, so dealing with a litter box and other cat-related shenanigans has been a bit of a trial. She's a doll though and has such a fun personality. I named her Sylvia.
