It's a street scene from 413, with a whole bunch of cyclists and a big
banner across the street that says "Liberty Ride 2004" with an American
flag on one side and Canadian flag on another. The location is *not*
Church & Wellesley but street signs hav been changed to say "Church " and
"Wellesley", which is the heart of Toronto's gay village. Emmett, Ted,
Hunter, Ben, and Michael are lined up in the middle of the crowd of
cyclists, all with bikes and in full cycling gear. Michael and Ben's
bikes have "just married" signs on the back! (There are also posters
around saying something like "Liberty Ride 2004 for [the name of some
charity I forget at the moment]".)
Debbie is standing in between Ben and Michael.
Debbie: You guys stick together ... look after each other.
She stands around looking sort of emotional and out of words, then kind
of throws up her hands and says, "I'd better get out of here before I
start bawling."
Gale rides up from the back of the crowd, looking very sexy in black
bicycle helmet, sunglasses, black cycling pants and windbreaker, to join
them at the line, saying, "Did I just hear something about balls?"
Debbie says something to Brian like, "Be careful". Brian says something
we think is, "Yes, mother" and then kisses her cheek. Debbie goes to the
sidelines, they all stand lined up for a bit, and that scene ends. The
next scene is a shot of the rainbow flag being waved and everyone riding
off down the street.
Randy is not in this scene and we didn't see him anywhere today.
Speculation begins here: This seems to be some kind of charity event
involving a bike ride from Toronto back to Pittsburgh or the US, possibly
involving mass gay weddings in Toronto or something (I didn't notice
anyone else with "just married" signs though). Gale and the others all
seem to be in good moods, cheerful and chatty. There is an actor
standing beside Peter, who wears a pink boa and seems to be talking to
him a lot ... we're hoping he may be a love interest for Emmett, but
that's pure speculation.
We may have more later as the shoot is still going on (I had to leave but
others are there).
