I talked to Luke today. I asked him, "How does one consciously, deliberately forgive somebody?" We discussed my resentment of Michael (without naming names) and he convinced me the best thing to do would be to actually bring it up with Michael.
Which I did.
So now I know that there was a reason for his increased bad mood since November, and that it's getting better, and that he really can't help being prickly sometimes. Tension dissipated. Also he was in a good mood; that was helpful.
As long as I'm thinking about it, here's a question for y'alls:
How would you go about deliberately forgiving somebody for something they did that hurt you which they cannot control, or can only control with enormous effort of will and lots of help?
ALSO. We got a 4-port USB hub, so now we have 5 USB ports. This means that (dun dun dunnnn) I can finally use the tablet again.
I concluded that the best way to use the thing is to sketch something out in grey, then trace in black and do a threshold clear.
