I win at ADD. I lose at finishing poems. ^^;
ADD!
Heartbeats intertwine on a field azure
Sable twin wolves rampant
Now lay down to rest
An experiment with meter:
One of us at least must be doing something right;
I find that I am wishing I could be with you tonight.
I find I'm now reluctant to fall asleep alone,
And that a bed with you in it feels rather more like home.
I hadn't thought my first love would be anything like this,
But then again predictions here are rather hit-or-miss.
And if you were to ask me, then I'd have to tell you true:
I'm rarely much more happy than some times I spend with you.
Yes, we've had some fights, and there are things we've yet to fix;
Still, I'd rather cuddle than do badass things with sticks.
Though innocence be lost, yet paradise is gained,
And a beast awakens that, it seems, cannot be tamed.
... I'm not sure if this is finished or not. It seems like it wants more, but it's also content to kind of sit there doing nothing, at least for the nonce. Even for a metered poem it's really unorganised, I think, but it's sure as hell less chaotic than Clasp.
