Civics Final Project journal entry 6

Jan 21, 2008 17:55

The message I sent to people on Facebook:

Decision-making at Community High is broken. If you were paying attention at all during the whole "banners" thing, you probably noticed. For my final project in Civics, I'm working out a plan to fix the decision-making process so that everyone who needs to be involved can be involved.

To that end, I'd like to ask some questions, and if I could get answers soon (like, by tomorrow or Wednesday), then that would be wonderful.

Do you have any ideas about how Community students can be involved in the decision-making process?

If every forum had to talk about and come up with issues around the school that need fixing, do you think your forum would set aside time during the week to do this?

If there was an opportunity for you to be involved in helping make a really important decision, or even a not-so-important one, would you go for it?

How important is it to you that your opinion is listened to on topics like the banners?

Who do you think should be involved in making really important decisions (for example, hiring new teachers)?

Answer a question you think I've forgotten.

Thank you very much.
