I'm happy you liked "Mountains of Mourning" and I'm also envious of the enjoyable ride you are starting with Vorkosigan saga. :) You will find a lot of humour, adventure, moving episodes, mistery and wonderful characters written in a heartfelt way. I bet Miles won't be the only character you will love.
When I read the first book I couldn't stop till the end of the published books, and now I'm waiting for the next istallment "Cryoburn".
There is a discussion among fans about the better order of reading. I think Lois is a skillful writer, reading order is not so important: you will enjoy the saga anyway.
If you like to see how her writing has developped the publication order will show it. But if you prefer to follow the characters' 'growing' and che society changing chronological is better. I'm sort of linear and I choose to follow Miles life... and Aral... and Cordelia... and Gregor... and...
Enjoy Miles saga and, please, let us know what do you think about. Have a lovely reading weekend!
*hugs you*
PS: you will find Ninny again, but after lot of adventures
I am going to read the "Young Miles" compendium I bought, but then I think I will go back and read chronologically. Maybe I will be ready to read with you all, the newest book, which is due out next year, I believe EG said!
