So while reading this month's mini-AIR (from the Annals of Improbable Research) there was a brilliant bit about how finally "The publication of the human genome makes it possible for biologists to breast-beatingly compete with mathematicians." Because, AH HA, they can now memorize the human genome to compete with all those jerks who think it's so cool to spout off the digits of pi.
Oh, sure, pi is infinite, but the human genome has about three billion base pairs, so.
I'm thinking Sheppard as a genetic biologist at the SGC researching the ATA gene (move over, Carson) and Rodney as a mathematician (for a change). How annoying can Sheppard get rattling off base-pairs in his slouchy lab coat and black geek glasses? Annoying enough to make Rodney shut up his stupid, pouty lips by kissing him?
We shall see.
