Yesterday :D
I have 15 mins before I have to leave, so I will try to type as fast as possible :D
I went to Toyo High yesterday, and it was GREAT!! I spent almost the entire day with the first year students in the home stay program, but I ate lunch and attended one period with the third years!
I attended my first math class since the IB math exam, and I have to say that I am very proud to have understood everything :D
I also took many notes in kanji... which hurt my brain a little, but I think I managed to copy every character almost exactly :)
I attended a social studies, science, math, computer, and 2 English classes (one with the first years and another with the third years). The seventh period we had a party!! It was so much fun!
First I will give a second`s attention lunch, as I will be posting pictures that I think needs explanation. I learned how to sumo wrestle... sort of :P
We weren`t entirly sure of what to do... so just enjoy the silly pictures hahaha
The part was SO NICE! Sensei went out and bought a few kinds of chips, cookies, ice tea, and really yummy pastries :D We all got together, ate, talked, and had a lot of laughs. I made a sort of speech to the kids about my general experience being an exchange student, things I enjoyed about Japan, and how happy I was to have met them all. These kids are seriously amazing! I really can`t wait to see them in the US!
To my surprise, they each had a little speech for me and a card! Some even gave me pelicula pictures :D
I will NEVER forget everyone`s kindness! So many students said that I was cute, energetic, and always so positive :) They said they would like to follow my example of always speaking as much in a different language as possible, and always be writing down new words.
I am so happy to be able to be taken as a positive role model, although I didn`t do anything special and was pretty much just myself.
