Monday, November 16th - late afternoon/early evening
What a beautiful day it has been! The sun has been shining brilliantly all day, even though it's decidedly cool. The sun is low in the sky now, but I think there will be a lovely sunset. I have been humming to myself all day, because it is a good thing to be alive and healthy when it's a bright crisp day. I do enjoy having Mondays off. I took Lady out for a ride, and I did some knitting. I finished making a
shawl I have been working on for a while. It is made of a soft black wool, and the pattern is elegant but not fussy, I think. I hope that Tess will like it. I wrap it up in brown paper and tie it with a ribbon and smile to myself.
I suggested that we go to the carnival, because we've both had so many serious things to think about recently. I think it will be fun - as long as we stay away from mindreading tents. I do like candy apples. I put on a
dress I made last fall. The fabric was described as "pumpkin coloured" by the trader I bought it from, and that was a reason I bought it - it seemed so cheerfully autumnal, and it makes a neat shirt dress. I slip on my coat and walk to the bridge to meet Tess.
[Open to Tess and Will, and possibly other folk as well... Ask if interested!]
