Spooky day so far
This day is starting to spook me out. First it was cat barfs to clean up in the wee hours followed by Jim dumping a plant before I even have my tea, managing to get dirt on 4 shelves and their contents on the way to the floor. Got that cleaned up and started to assemble brunch materials only to discover meat blood all over one quadrant of the fridge and contents, so I cleaned that up and set the rinsed apples to air dry on the range top. I keep hearing "tick tick tick" and can't find the source, but it seems to be coming from the apples. Uh-huh... I pick one up and son of a gun it IS the apple! I set it back down and recheck for other sources and wondering if I'm going crazy, but no, pick it up again and it's the apple ticking. Upon closer inspection I see a droplet of water pulsating in the bottom of the apple. Oooookaaaayyyy. You learn something new every freaking day. Think I'll take a break and eat my freshly rinsed cherries and a cup of tea before I pick up a knife.
