Nightmares at your high school reunion
I can't watch horror movies. Even horror movies that other people think are "funny." I have a recurring nightmare where Chucky chases me through the dark hallways and cage stairwells of my junior high school. I never actually see Chucky, but I can hear him laughing and occasionally see his shadow on the walls as I run in panic.
I never make it out of the school. *shudder*
TV: Bones 517, "Death of the Queen Bee"
So to see Freddy on Bones? It almost rendered the episode unwatchable for me. I kept wanting to scream at Brennan, "RUN AWAY!" Or, "SHOOT HIM, BOOTH, BEFORE HE GETS ANY CLOSER!!!!!" After Booth's confession, it's really hard for me to watch Brennan keep relying on him for emotional fulfillment. I thought it was really sweet of Booth to give in to her wanting to reclaim a lost opportunity to enjoy her high school prom, but it must be so hard. So his initial reluctance to slow dance with her was spot-on. Though I totally understand Brennan's decision not to begin a romantic relationship with Booth, remaining in a partnership so close will cause emotional friction.
Why is it so hard for girls and guys to be friends, real friends, without the complicated romantic stuff?
TV: Taking the Stage, 212, "Moving On"
Carlton, you stupid ass, you waited that long for Anna to become available and then you can't wait any longer? You only have the ridiculous "excuse" of youth so long. Hope you enjoy it while you're alone and Adam moves on with Emily. Still hating on this season. SO glad not to be in high school. It's so much harder being in it than being past it and looking back, but I think it's harder for kids now than it was for me, even 10 years ago. Watching this show makes me think I should pray for the youth of the world, especially my niece and nephew.
TV: America's Best Dance Crew Special, "Champions for Charity"
Quest Crew, as always, stole the show. They really are the crew that everyone should be measured against. Omarion's hilarious squee-fest after they performed showed how lacking season 5 was in talent and ambition. I feel they are much more accessible than Jabba, but I can see how Jabba's image transcends theirs. Jabba's image is iconic. Totally wish I could go to Vegas to see their MGM Grand show. WHY ARE ALL THE FUN THINGS ON THE LEFT COAST HAPPENING AFTER I LEAVE?! Sigh.
TV: Craig Ferguson, James Marsden, Charlyne Yi
DVR'd this to watch Charlyne but she was so ridiculously boring! Marsden was much better, but oh man, was he hairy. DISLIKE. Accidentally deleted some episodes without watching the monologue, oops. Miss Conan like crazy, but actually becoming quite happy with Craig as my late-night fix.
TV: Modern Family, 101, "Pilot"
I don't watch The Office, and I don't particularly like the mockumentary-style, but I laughed a lot more in this one episode than 3 of Community. My hopes are up...

I want to see Kick-Ass SO BAD.
