In other news, we still haven't mowed the back yard. It has rained every day. Yesterday the rain stayed away for long enough that the kiddos went out to the back yard to play. Iain shortly came running in with a handful of flowers he picked for me with Ebba and Germaine coming behind saying "Iain brought you some Shepherd's Purse mommy!" Hehehehe... yeah, so some mommies get weeds and this mommy gets a posy of useful herbs!
After that, they twisted and flattened bits of the grass and made forts and stores and a tanning bed (? yeah, we weren't sure on that one either). They took some sticks for legs from our ill-fated juniper bushes from hell and made a display table with a bit of wood for a surface. They also fashioned a stick and grass woven archway to enter their maze. All in all, they had a lot more fun with our jungle grass then a well manicured lawn like our anal neighbor prefers.
