Life has been great as of late.
I finally saw Radiohead Wednesday with Ben and Jessie. I called Corey the whole week before leaving messages to call me back about the trip and he never did so I had to find someone last minute to go. We left super early Wednesday morning and arrived at the hotel just a hair under 7 hours, which was earlier than we thought by about 15/20 minutes. We hung out at the hotel for a bit before going downtown Mansfield to hang out. The show was on South Main St. which wasn't really downtown. We went 5 minutes to North Main st. to see if there was anything to do. We parked and walked around for about 20 minutes and saw everything. There's 20,000 people in that town, so I'm sure there was more excited parts that we didn't know about. We got to the venue two hours before it started to hang out though we didn't drink like everyone else. We hung out for an hour and then went in and walked around. It was a cool little out door venue that holds 19,000 (including lawn) but 2/3 of the actual seats had a roof. We were in the seats that didn't have a roof, but it didn't matter since it was a beautiful night out. Everything was super overpriced, so I was lucky I ate before hand. The opening band wasn't bad, but the mix was super low so they weren't even at a decent level and not many people came in to see them anyway. Radiohead came on and played for 2 hours and it ws unbelievable. Everything was amazing including the light show and having the weather perfect topped it off. I really would love to say more, but I can't even put into words how amazing it was. The only complaint was they didn't play two songs that I wanted to hear but since they have hours and hours and hours and hours of music, you are bound to not hear a song or two you want to hear. After the concert it took us an hour to get out of the parking lot because the guy didn't know what he was doing. Next thing I knew, it was 7:45, we were leaving the hotel because Jessie had to be at work at 3pm, and as we walked out, a guy from the room next door was getting arrested because he was drunk and he must of done something. The cops told one of the people in the hotel to bring him down to the police office later to get finger prints. Seems like the cops would take him themselves. I drove the whole way both ways for a total of 15 hours and I couldn't feel my ass, but it was well worth it.
School starts back up again next Monday and I move down there Saturday morning. I can't wait to move into the new place, get things settled, go on campus to walk around and see new and old faces and enjoy the weather and campus. Though classes will get in the way of me enjoying campus.
