(no subject)
So, whoa, haven't written in forever!
I:
got a scholarship to NU (I'm definitely going there, btw)
am getting over a nasty cold
went to get my licence and the car was rejected (that's right, I'm still licenceless)
lost my permit
am going to church for the first time on Sunday
miss my Hollis/Brookline friends
will be 18 on the twenty-third of this month
am moving to a new town after Devon is out of school - dunno where yet, closer to Boston
finished my first ever oil painting
I started a new painting in watercolors and I'm psyched! It's a girl blowing away in the wind, and her body is all dissolved and floating away and its all reds and oranges and bright happy energy colors. I also wrote a short story for English that may become a novel eventually - the idea of human annihilation of the gods and the power our belief has over their strength. Obviously still in the works and not at all solidified, but hey, we'll see.
Julie and I went to see She's the Man on Friday - definitely a chick flick, but it was exactly what I was in the mood for. She was happy that someone would go with her, her boyfriend refused to see it (not that I blame him... it's hard to feel manly watching a movie like that). She wants to set me up with some kid from work, we'll see how that goes. I'm tired of being single, but geez, all the guys I know are... not dateable. (How's that for a nice way of saying petty, shallow, stupid, stubborn, or taken?)
So that's it for now (and probably for the next 3 months). HB friends should call me (I lost all your numbers when my comp crashed last summer) I'd love to see you all again before we scatter for college!
