And in one of the episodes of Bones, the victim did not appear to be an outdoorsy type but had recently bought camping gear. Someone said maybe they just bought it on a whim to prove to themselves that they can still live, and be independent and they were strong enough for this despite her illness.
And blah blah blah. And Criminal Minds are like people don't really venture that far out of their normal area of comfort.
So I was thinking about myself. I hear people say "step outside of your comfort zone", "take the plunge", "just do it", "you'll never know until you try", "maybe you'll like it".
And I've taken a deep breath each and every time a crazy adventurous opportunity (minus those opportunities that involved a 10 day kayak trip - uh no thanks, maybe next decade) and dived in for it. So while I'm not the adventurous type, all evidence points to that I am.
Ever stepped out of your comfort zone so many times that you have to sit down and re-evaluate the adjectives that should be used to describe yourself? Well, all I know is that if I turned up murdered and some NZ version of the BAU finds me, they'll probably reach the wrong conclusions. So everyone here, you tell them. It appears I'm a confused individual.
That being said, next week, I'm going with yunnycakes to Ohakune next week on a cycling trip. Yeah. What. I can hardly believe how many things that are on my list of Never-To-Do have actually been already done.
Edit to add what other things are on my list to never do but will probably end up doing:
Sky Diving
Bungee Jumping
That mountain climbing/cliff jumping thingy
Scuba diving
Acting
Camp America
Road trip across America
Working Holiday
Moving to, living and working in England (for working holiday)
Travel South East Asia
Go on a cruise
Insert other adventurous things that I cannot think of right now.
the list,
