that my hands and feet haven't felt warm in weeks.
It also hailed today. Like gigantic blocks of ice fell instead of water. At first we thought it was rain but the sound was too loud for it and the ground was covered in white afterwards. But fuck me. I think it's an Antarctic storm?
Oh yes it is indeed. The weather thing says it's 8 degrees in Auckland right now. But it feels more like 2 degrees! It's THAT cold. Its a weird feeling when typing. I've checked the weather for Hong Kong and the hometown. HK is currently sitting at 33 degrees while my dad's hometown is 32. On the day we arrive in HK next week it's probably going to be also 31 degrees if the forecast for the next few days are anything to go by.
I'll be actually going from one extreme to another and then back again when I return after a week. I'm actually seriously considering disappearing off to Melbourne for a few days if the weather is still as cold when I return.
However, yunnycakes has organised (rather, she is organising) a trip down south to the
Waitomo Caves straight after I return. We're going to freeze to death when exploring those glow worm caves. But it should be an exciting experience!
I've thought of something I need to buy/do while I'm in HK:
1) A 2013 planner that is small enough to carry around.
2) Also that amazing pen I bought last time I went. I hope something similar is available for purchase.
3) Shu also wants me to buy a PS3 lol.
4) Fix my iPhone screen
5) Fix my HK ATM card
6) Cut and dye my hair (AFTER I return from the hometown)
7) Do something touristy with my dad if we have time.
In other news, they were talking about this the other day on the radio and shu told me about it last night. There's an Easter Egg in Fisher and Paykel washing machines! I feel like I know this from a long time ago but perhaps not. If you press the correct buttons in the correct combinations, your Fisher and Paykel will start playing the national anthem! Which national anthem depends on which market the machine is going to. So machines made for the NZ market will play the NZ one, Aus machinese = Aus. American = American. Assuming of course, you didn't buy a parallel import version. Except this video here shows three versions being played. So maybe it depends on the machine.
