OKay... so last friday, I was supposed to work till 10 only at city. I ended up working from beginning till finish. D=
Suicidal. Also, it was crazy!!! There was a shortage of staff... so the lord "imported two people from Botany"... I lol'd at his phrasing. Like he's doing human trafficking or something. Anyway, we reached a new sales record!!!!!!!!
Over $8000. Fuck. I nearly died at the end of the night. I'm also pissed too at that annoying flat faced ;aklfdjaljfda;ljkfda agarghhhhhhh. Why the fuck did she finish early and I ended up doing pretty much all of the table setting at the end of the night?
Why the fuck does she have to keep asking for help? I agree only because I thought she genuinely needed help. There was nothing I helped her with that she couldn't have done it HERSELF. In fact, it would probably have been quicker if she did it herself. I got so fed up with her when she was just standing there looking omfg what should I do. I waited for her to give me instructions because I didn't know what the fuck she needed my help for. I was like: WHAT DO YOU NEED HELP WITH THEN?!!!!!!!!!!!
And then she was like: We have 25 people coming...
I nearly facepalmed because there's no reason for her to stand there looking completely busted. So I started directing her how to put the chairs (WHICH BY THE WAY, I SHOULDn'T BE DOING BECAUSE ALTHOUGHT we've worked at Nishiki for like a year... she's worked in city all this time and I work in Botany. She should be a fucking pro). So I was like: Fine, put 3 chairs at that end.
And she was like: BUT BUT BUT 3 MIGHT BE TOO TIGHT.
Me: THEN PUT 2 FOR FUCKS SAKE. DON'T JUST STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING!
She: But two might not be enough... maybe a bench... but...
Me: THEN PUT A BENCH THERE AND LET THEM FIGURE IT OUT. GOOD GRIEF.
I made the chairs sit more tidily and then rushed off to do something of more actual importance. like take out the five chicken teriyaki, four beef amiyaki and three beinasu sitting on top of the fridge waiting for us to take them out so they can put six takoyaki out loloolololol.
At one point, the lord walked into the kitchen and his eyes popped and jaw dropped. There were four hall staff standing in front of all the food going: OMFGZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WHICH PLATES TO TAKE FIRST?!!!!!!!!!1
I walked in there and went "OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" Because seriously, EVERYONE was just standing there staring in horror and couldn't think which plates to take first to minimise walking distance and maximise efficiency.
I was like: DONT JUST STAND THERE JESUS CHRIST, If you can't decide, jsut take the closest one and MOVE.
Everyone else: *still gawking at the plates*.
At another stage, they were all gawking again but not because of the massive pile of plates of food sitting on the counter... it was only half full... but the dockets of orders... filled up like a quarter of the space. There were like nearly four full columns of waiting orders for the grill (usually there are like two columns at most). The Lord came in and gawked too.
The guy who did stove actually moved over to help with grill (because it was impossible to do by herself) and the guy who did the deep fry moved over to do stove and a guy who did hall moved inside to do the deep fry. Eiwa was doing the dish, he moved outside to do the hall and then back inside again because there was a new guy doing dish and Eiwa had already taught him enough to survive a while by himself.
Jessie was also working that night too. The crazy freaked her out so much. At the end of the night, we had a drink in celebration of surviving this new record. Man... when we took out trays of food, it felt like Nishiki staff were a private army. We were taking out at least five plates of food at once (per person). At one stage, I took out five plates at once (four on a tray, one in the other hand) and another girl took the same number, followed behind me and we went to the same place. I think there was a third person behind her as well and then two more people went to a different location. It was madness. I loved it so much.
Thank god I didn't have to work during lunch time on Saturday. =_= I would have died. D= but I had to work dinner... and at Botany. I got there and saw the booking and I nearly cried. Jessie said to me: "you know, if I had a restaurant... I would be VERY satisfied if it earned what Botany earns per night. Last night at city... now that's just crazy."
Then we started work... IT WAS ABSOLUTE CRAZINESS FOR US. We earned nearly half of what city earned on Friday night. Fucking crazy. Hot stuff had to move over from grill to deepfry/stove to help Naoto and the Lord had to move from hall into the kitchen to do grill because it was impossible. Which left only me, the queen and jessie outside in the hall. I have never worked so hard and so fast in Botany until last night... I'm always faster in Botany after I work in city.
Lol. The Lord and the Shy perve were both lol'in at me. Was like: omg a new Emi has risen... and show her true self LMAO. This is the emiko monster.
But because the dish boy was fucking slowwwww, after the lord was done helping grill, he had to move into dish area so he could wash the dishes. The whole kitchen had plates stacked too high too much and too dangerously. We ended up saying NO MORE DISHES IN THE KITCHEN, DONT BRING THEM IN, put them all on table C6 and when this place is done... we'll take them inside...
At the end of the night, I asked Jessie... "would you be satisfied with tonight's earnigns if you had a restaurant?"
Jessie nodded and said; 'too satisfied'. Lmao. Low expectations.
But thing was, there was a whole lot of things we forgot to do at the end of the night because we were so dead tired... we couldn't think straight at all. Friday night, got home past 1pm. Sat night got home past midnight...
Jesus.
Today... I couldn't wake up at all. When I finally did, I realised it was 11:30am. I had to MOVE FAST so I could make it in time for noon start. T_T I got up, brushed my teeth and rushed out the door, fly car out to botany... THE LORD sAID FOCUS ON SPEED so I did! I made it JUST IN TIME. Thank god. Half the place was already packed.
D=
I was expecting today as a lazy sunday... THE FUCK IT WAS. D= It was fucking packed. Crazy as. I'm so fucking GLAD that I know Nishiki is NOT ALWAYS LIKE THIS and that we have crazy QUIET days too. Thank god. I'm so glad... that I'm not working tonight. But sadly... we didn't even hit the $2000 mark! So I think I'm either too tired to be working at my best... or my expectations have risen too high lol.
Also, the lord condeemed me to hell last night along with C4 and C5 customers... because... they were playing with their food. I admitted to the lord that I play with my food too.
nishiki,
work
