weekend ramblings

I find that the best time for blogging is when i’m actually in the train on my way to work. As i’m taking my daily 30 mins train ride to work, there are three things that I usually do to pass the time, I either read, catch up on sleep or I would unconsciously start reflecting on things that has been happening around lately. When the latter actually happens I find myself crafting out a long blog-worthy post in my head. The only disadvantage about this is I wouldn’t have any form of netbook or laptop handy and thus that particular potential blog entry would disappear from my thoughts a couple of minutes later. Try as I might to get those thoughts back when I’m finally sitting infront of my work PC or home laptop, I’d simply stare at the blank document screen, whatever inspiration i might have had would have been long gone by then.

Sure the logical thing I could do is to have a notebook handy and write down my thoughts, but I have this thing with people peeking at what i’m writing. :P

For the past week the headline news that has been gracing the front pages of our local newspapers has been the Jack Neo scandal. Oh wow another scandal. Does it need to be on the front page of almost all of our local newspapers everyday? How pray tell is this at all front page newsworthy? First we had Tiger Woods and his gazillion affairs, followed by John Terry (I always mix up his name w/ Tiery Henry lol) and Ashley Cole, hot on their heels came Jack Neo. I don’t know about you but I find it very ‘basi’ (malay word for ‘stale’). It simply shows me the ugly side of human behaviour. I think the only reason the Jack Neo story has been blown out of proportion is because he is a well known local celebrity, a handful of his movies focuses on family values and he is married. Oh wow we’ve never heard of such controversy before.

I’m sure it’s all his fault. He should have known better since he has a family and not some swinging bachelor. After all it only takes one hand to clap. Oh wait its two right? I’m sure the Wendy girl who started the media circus was innocent in all this. Especially with all her modelesque pictures of her in the tabloids. Oh wait. How stupid of me of course it’s only natural that she poses for pictures, she’s a model afterall. Hmm maybe a hand model perhaps? Coz I have not seen her pictures anywhere else before. *shrugs*

Then you have the four minutes ‘press conference’. A lot of people have doubts about the sincerity of it. Wasn’t it the same for Tiger Woods’ press conference as well? It goes to show you can’t please everybody. You apologise they doubt you, you don’t apologize they say you’re a douche, at least they tried. Everyone makes mistakes, time to move on people. You ain’t that perfect either.
