OK so for the record I voted RM first, Legomymalfoy second and jay maynard 3rd. And There is a certain candidate who is really fecking me off right now. Talk about over campaigning jeeeees! Not to mention I find one of their posters incredibly racist. But hey ho.

Which poster? I am assuming you are talking about my friend. Keep in mind, none of them were made or approved by jameth, so any bad taste or bias is the responsibility of the poster's creator. If one really is offensive, I would gladly go to its creator and suggest they drop it.

This isnt personal between you and me but I dislike that campaign for 3 main reasons

1. Afghan poster is racist and not needed. I know the person probably finds it amusing but I really dont

2. Using alt accounts to swing votes is a dirty tactic. If they feel confident they shouldnt feel the need to cheat. This is party LJ's fault though for having voting ran in a silly fashion

3. They are over campaigning. Just because they have the loudest voice does not mean they are the best candidate.

None of us see it as racist, as the image was chosen solely because of her compelling eyes and the beauty captured in the photograph. It may be exploitive of that image, but there is nothing in that "poster" that is derogatory toward her or the Afghan people. It is no different than the poster someone made by taking a photo of jameth and brad at the open house they recently had at LJ's headquarters and adding similar text. Also, as I said before, that is not an image that jameth had anything to do with creating or posting.

If you read the rules of the election, it is not one person one vote, it is one vote per username per e-mail address. While I know some people in jameth's posse have more then one account, he is far from the worst offender on that issue. legomymalfoy's supporters have been documented discussing the massive numbers of sock-puppets they were voting with. We have a screen-shot of one of his supporters posting about how they had cast 200 votes for him. It is a big part of why he so quickly moved from second place to his large lead ( ... )
