Breaking Bad.
It's a show that has gripped me since I first decided to watch it shortly before the second season premiered.
It is brilliant on every conceivable level. Plotting. Tone. Music (or lack thereof). Acting. Writing. Pacing.
The elements at work mesh so perfectly, it's scary. The starkness. The grim reality of the situations the characters find themselves in. The juggling act of plot balls that never once get dropped. The fact that the brilliance of the show is not always immediately realized.
If you have any interest in some of the best television to grace our generation, I entreat you, I beg you to watch- this show might not change your life, but it will sure as hell make it richer. And lord knows we could all use some of that. Season three is looking like it's going to rock our faces off.
