Not Sure if She's There

Would that there was more to talk about, but as it is, it's mostly quiet on the Western front. Big news at the moment is that I've got an interview at San Francisco's own Cartoon Art Museum (in just 11 1/2 hours, yeek!) for an internship. Excitement doesn't begin to scratch the surface of my feelings on this opportunity. There's no telling the things it could lead to, the doors it could open up, not to mention how cool it would be to work at a museum that's had exhibits on stuff like Watchmen and my favorite newspaper strips as a kid.

cacophonyblood is over at the moment. I imagine she's getting herself settled into the bedroom next to mine as I type this, but that of course is not the least of our activities today. I showed her many wonders of the internet, including my favorite videos from The Lonely Island, and we went on from there to the first half of United States of Tara, which I'm mainly showing to her for the gay- though it is a decent program, I feel obligated to keep her up-to-date on things relevant to her interests that she might not otherwise get to check out. We grabbed Italian for dinner, and then headed back here for Wednesday night TV- Better Off Ted (hilarious), Lost (awesome) and a new show The Unusuals (quirky and witty). And tomorrow brings adventures in the city.

Lastly, I feel that I must mention my reading list, as it's growing to proportions that even I must admit are near outlandish. I'm just finishing up the Star Trek : Countdown graphic novel, as it's an awesome quick read, and then it's straight the hell back to the latest Dresden Files, which I've already gotten through 60-odd pages of (which, for a novel length book, in 2 days, is generally unheard of for me), but after ALL that, I have the following to work through:
Eyeshield 21 25, Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei 1, Trigun Maximum 14, Astonishing X-Men hardcover collection 1, The Darkness Compendium 1, Preacher 5, Torso, and then I fucking finally get back to the last Dark Tower book that I was about 100 pages into when I put it down to start on some book I bought at WonderCon a month ago. @_@ I need more time to read. =_=

life in general, working hard/hardly working, japanimation, hittin' the comic stand, nose in a book
