Winter returned today with a nice snowstorm for my drive up to Boxford. I was doing alright on route 1 and I-95, staying in the slow lane giving myself a pep talk. Yes, outloud. The roads were plowed but slippery. It wasn't until I was actually in Boxford that I really wanted to freak out. The road I turn on that leads to Kelley's house and then the actual road that they live on was not plowed at all at 10:30 in the morning! It felt strange driving in snow that deep, especially in the Honda Accord with no four wheel drive (although I hardly know what that would feel like anyways). So there I am in the Accord going up the tiniest hill, I wouldn't even consider it a hill on non-snowy days, but today it felt like the largest hill I had to climb. I couldn't get up that damn hill in first gear so I put the car into second and basically floored it, as was Kelley and Brad's advice. Thank God that is not a high traffic road, I must have looked like an idiot, the inexperienced snow driver that I am. Once I got to their house, Gillian and I stayed home all day, even though I could see they finally plowed their road at about noon there was no way I was venturing out with her. I've decided if I continue to live up here (which is pretty obvious) and I one day get a car, it is going to be a decent sized SUV with good tires and four wheel drive. Or maybe I'll just have someone chauffer me around all winter.

In other news, none snow related or driving, I can't believe I am a week into my last semester of college! So weird. I think I'm going to like my classes, I have a well rounded schedule of campaign planning, contemporary art the 1970's&1980's, history of american music, and history of fashion. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that I'm at school from 10-6 with no break and all of my professors keep class going until the last possible minute. I barely have time to grab some much needed coffee! Tonight I made a PB&J sandwich for lunch tomorrow, I'm going to start packing my lunch high school style so I can actually make it through the day! Carrots and crackers last week were not enough! Okay, enough with the novel, when the roomies aren't home and I've been with a two year old all day I get a little bored and need some where to talk I guess!
