At night the sky matches the sea
Blending and having no ending
Just stars in the heavens
Reflected in the water
A mirror for her
I made U turns in my mind
And found her at every corner
So I decided to stop at the beach
And struck up a word
With the earth for once.
So I wrote a love note
In the sand with my finger
Knowing that the tide was approaching
And if
She didn’t read this now
She never would
But I took the chance
Found the ambition
Beneath my scarred and
Sewn together heart.
20 questions was never much fun
All I learned was what I lost

Denial was always a mask
I wore so well
