Geo-field-class #2 \o/ (... non, la première ne méritait pas d'entrée)

Apr 25, 2012 20:04

So today is the day i found so many fossils i couldn't even be bothered to take them all home with me.

THAT'S HOW AWESOME TODAY WAS.

FUCK.
I HAD LIKE 30 MINUTES OF FREEDOM AFTER GEOLOGY FIELD CLASS AND I SPENT THEM KNEELING IN ICE-COLD RED MUD AND SCRATCHING AT THE GROUND LIKE A MANIAC WITH A POINTY ROCK BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD LET ME HAVE A HAMMER AND TURNING EVERY SINGLE FUCKING STONE AND NOT GIVING UP UNTIL I WAS HOLDING A HANDFUL OF CORPSES

FROM BEINGS

THAT LIVED

FUCKING 200 MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO

AND MAYBE I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN FOR MAYBE THE REST OF MY LIFE???

Anyway I'm sick and this felt like the coldest day of my life and i was shivering in the icy wind that raged through an abandonned career carved into what used to be a coral reef, listening to my teacher describing the tropical triassic beaches that used to be there, explaining how the Tethys Sea ripped the Pangaea apart and telling us about the ancient creatures that used to swim where we stood.

Geosciences.
SO MANY FEELS.
