I keep telling you it's a disease.
It sure spreads like one.
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
Way too many. I honestly couldn’t count them. My less “populated” verse (less characters with actual concept and background) must have around 8 characters. The most populated has around 30 POV characters (by which I mean they each originally had their own RP account, since that's how that particular verse was born ; if I counted the actual number of characters with their own narration or their own spotlight, the numbers would be higher) with an average of 3 exclusive related characters each, fully developed as well (yess, i did just count that, stats are beautiful). I can name 12 distinct “complete” (by which I mean actual self-contained worlds, with actual world-building) verses off the top of my head, and I know I’m forgetting several.
And by this point I managed to scare myself. Wow!
I prefer males. The idea of writing females makes me panic a bit, I’m not sure why. Maybe because I can hardly ever understand what’s going on in their heads IRL? Or is it just the result of my friends bullying me into thinking I couldn’t possibly understand, maybe?
But I still love my female characters! I even tend to make them more badass or more threatening, for some reason :D
Plus I like genderfuck as a theme, so if I let stupid things like that influence whether or not I liked a character I’d be a pretty sad excuse for a writer :’D
