I've just treated myself to some new make-up from Yves Rocher. I haven't tried their make-up before (I've had free lipstick samples and such, but I have never actually bought anything before), as I usually purchase from Sephora. Both can be expensive especially if purchasing a few things at once, but as I don't mind the price if the quality is good... Anyway, the reason I chose Yves Rocher this time was because there were a few interesting products I had noticed in the catalogue, and because if one pays by credit card (not Paypal), one can pay either straight away or in 2 months time. I usually prefer to pay straight away, but as I do kind of need the products as soon as possible, well...
Anyway, I purchased a nice new dark fushia lipstick (I do have one from Sephora but I keep losing it), two new make-up brushes (one for my eyeshadow and one for applying concealer), and a concealer compact inspired by professional make-up artists. One mixes the creams to suit the skin and applies a transparent powder-like cream on the top to highlight and fix. Then to finish I purchased a face cream which I have used before (as the Lush one didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped - review coming soon! -).
I should have them soon. I really need to renew all of my make up brushes. I've had the set in my bedroom for years. I remember my aunt bought it for me once years ago. At Christmas I bought a silicone applicator which one uses for glitter eyeshadow, so I'm updating bit by bit.
What is nice about Yves Rocher is the free gift selection they send. One can choose from a selection of free gifts (always of good quality), or if there is nothing that takes one's fancy, one can choose to plant a tree for the planet. I have done that a couple of times, but today I chose a free gift. One of the free gifts was the Hammam soap which I have wanted to try for a while, but I recently located a stash of perfumed soaps in the bathroom, so I chose the retractable powder brush instead. I already have one which was my Mums, but I could do with a new one, and this one has a top on it too!
Just have to wait for it all to arrive now!
