So I don't really like my username. This is partly because, in reality, the mafia is pretty terrifying and not me at all, and partly because the name was inspired by a series of conversations from freshman year, which is also not me at all.

Long story short, I’m switching journals. Well, more like phasing into a new journal. I’ll still be moderately on this journal, but I’m going to focus more on the other until I’m only on this one every once in a while. As of yet, I haven’t formatted my friendspage, so comment to be added! Hooray!

I’m now at margin_madrigal

The margin part is because they're bookish and fantastic and I love when thoughtful or witty things are penciled in them. They’re also perfect spaces for writing down any idea that takes you by storm. It’s almost like they were put there for that very reason. Madrigals can be a form of short poetry, a song for two or three unaccompanied voices developed in 13th century Italy, or a song for four to six voices developed in Italy in the 16th century and especially popular in England. I kind of imagine someone being seized by inspiration while reading and writing the words down in a book, and, years later, someone else finding it and feeling special.
...The magpie bit is because I have a fiendish love for things that are blue or sparkly. (And doors, but that's beside the point.) They're clever, too.
