A Grand Adventure

It's been a while since I posted here, so I figured I'd say something.
Less than 7 weeks to go until the great move. Talked to managers, and will fill out an internal application for transfer. Hopefully I will be able to get in!!! We've been working on paring down all of our belongings in hopes of not having to drag a trailer or get a truck. A car topper is still in the options, but hopefully we can try to get everything in my car. I keep hoping we will win the lottery so we can live more comfortably, but so far no dice. I miss the easy life of being a kid a little bit, the whole 'the biggest concern I have is which piece of playground equipment to explore' thing. Now it's a tad more complicated.
Paring down your belongings is a very revealing process. You have to really examine what matters to you, and consider what all you really use and what you're just keeping around for no good reason.
I am pretty much obsessed with starting a new life with Adam. Yep.
We are going to be super happy even though we'll be in a totally new environment and with absolutely nothing familiar. I don't even really know my way around a Portland Map. ridiculous!!! But I'll be there for my 21st birthday, so I hope Adam and I have some fun. Good Pinot Noir country, for sure, and microbreweries enough to spare. So! I'm excited, scared, nervous, impatient, sad, happy, and all sorts of things at once. At least I'm not trying to move with kids or more family or a pet or something. Imagine moving with a cat or a fish across country! I sure don't want to have to sit with a fish bowl in the front seat for three days, and I actually like fish! Unlike Sara, who.. oddly has a fish. To try to overcome her fear, I think. It's cute, anyway.
Side note- my manager has a tank of cool fish she kindof inherited from the last manager and she doesnt clean the tank enough. I feel bad for those fish. They look sad. I think they might die. Oh well. I don't think she will care.
If I had a fish I would probably name it something like Bubbles, or Finster, or Frederich or Stewart or something silly like that.
Adam is making some sort of crazy thing for dinner, and I'm curious. No telling what that boy will make and call it food. It's usually tasty though!
I am ready for new things. I'm sure I will have lots of stress from leaving everything I am familiar with and hold dear in order to take a new adventure all the way across the country, and make a go of it. I am also sure there will be happy times with the hard times.
My next door neighbor is coming up with a mermaid character, and she gives me updates. She's quite a good artist. She also has a cat she named after a decepticon, because that's what cats are. Evil robots.
Hope everyone had a happy easter and everything. I am excited about lots of things, but I miss a lot of you guys a lot. I hope I still can keep in touch with everyone. I'm sure I can.
I got some new shoes. They kick some serious ass and are OH so cute!
