I just went to Walgreen's and my amount due was six dollars and sixty six cents. I enjoy the hightened awareness of numbers this day brings.

So Loyola's library (and I'm sure most other libraries as well) has this Inter-Library Loan system so that I can essentially check out any book I want if a participating library somewhere else has it. I checked out a book called Rethinking Globalization: Teaching Justice in an Unjust World about how to teach about world issues without presenting a "semester of doom". It's really good so far and it's getting me really pumped about being a social studies teacher.
