Okay, there are lots of writers and writerly types on my friends-list, so I have a favor to ask.
I've been itching to make a zine for a while now, and finally struck on making an alphabet zine (short essays corresponding to different letters). I enlisted Paintedbooklady and we each did a few, but then life intervened and neither of us have finished more than a few.
But! This swanky private school gig I've got means I've got access to free copying till January 20th or so and I cannot let this go to waste! So I have a proposal:
Please contribute to this alphabet project! Write a short essay, a poem, or recycle a journal entry you think is appropriate! Post it in your LJ and comment here to let me know you did it. I'll compile them all and make the copies, then come up with a cool cover idea. Each contrib will get one free copy of the result!
Deadline: Let's say January 14th, so that I give myself a week to get the copies made before I'm finished here.
I've done ACE, and I think L has done a few, but the rest of the alphabet is up for grabs! Also, I don't care about repeats, so if you have a letter that calls out to you, take it, even if someone else has done it! Also, feel free to post this call for submissions in your own journal. Feel free to do more than one letter too.
