Hello friends-list,
I'm pitching an article to a magazine on whether to encourage children to be competitive (my vote is no) and they want to know what "funny anecdotes" I would use.
So! I turn to you, fabulous friends-list, to see if you have funny stories that would show why it's better to encourage children to work to their own full potential, rather than judge themselves by how they're doing against other kids.
This need not be a story by a parent about their kids-- if you have a memory from childhood, feel free to tell me all about it!
For those of you in the mama-loop, it's a debate essay for "Brain, Child," and they expressed interest after I pitched-- and I would love to crack this nut, so help a writer-mama out!
