[Terra is there for a good portion of the morning, revisiting familiar sites from home, though occasionally she will switch to a different scenario, trying out places she visited with friends. She can also be found between bouts of training

[Kain catches Terra when she's coming out of one of those shops and approaches.]

[He goes right toward her, as if he's a little more comfortable and at ease around her than usual.]

[Then she perks up, realizing that he is actually talking.]

Oh! You got that penalty removed! I'm so happy for you!

Penalty... Oh... No, I've not noticed a change, although I've learned to cope with it. What made you think otherwise?

Well, you can talk. I haven't heard you do that...um, ever? You said it happened to you because you died.

...What...? But you know that it wasn't my voice that I lost.

[Okay, going along with this for a moment.]

What did you lose? Memories?

No... my tolerance to magic, but... you already knew this. Remember, we've fought together a few times now...

[Steps a little closer but he is still hesitant about it, he's cautious in general around her, moreso than the other Kain would be. He's more anxious about doing/saying the right things.]

[Terra stares at him, paying more attention to his demeanor than his words.]

I'm fine, Terra, why wouldn't I be? Are... you all right?

[What's this, he actually sounds concerned.]

I'm fine. It's just that you...seem different, somehow.

[...aside from actually talking.]

I don't understand why we don't remember the same things. Unless....

Unless what...? Did... Chaos or Cosmos do something to your memories?

[Then his tone gets a much angrier edge to it.]

Or was it Kefka?

...Kefka hasn't been here in months, Kain.

And I don't know what you mean by Chaos or Cosmos.

[Her brow furrows, now very worried.]

I thought my amnesia days were over. Not again....

[Kain looks saddened by this.]

I'm sorry, Terra... I wish there were something I could do...

[She sighs.]

Maybe...maybe you telling me about all that will help? It could jog some memories.

Maybe... [Sigh. He has to try this for her sake...]

We were summoned to a war by two gods, Cosmos and Chaos. They had several people brought in from other worlds to fight... We went through a few battles while there. Kefka had at one time kidnapped you and others, but we set you free. And in one of the battles, I... In one of the battles you had switched powers with Rosa, and you helped me when I was in desperate need of it.

...I also... I know that you're part Esper and that you'd been controlled by Kefka before. We've often spoken about having that in common.

[She twitches a little at mention of Kefka and related topics. He's far from her favorite subject. But Kain's last comment gains her interest.]

You were controlled by him at some point, too?

[Granted, she knows about his past with Golbez and Zemus by now, but perhaps Kefka has had a chance to manipulate him, too. Poor Kain....]
